Hey! You may have noticed I rarely blog here anymore. (Or, more likely, you never noticed, since it’s hard to identify a thing that isn’t happening). So now that I’ve brought it to your attention… Some news.
I am headed to Japan for a 6 week indigo dyeing and sericulture adventure. This August! I know! I leave in 2 days. (Again, I know!) I’ll be staying at a farm outside of Tokyo.

This summer I’ve been working on thread sketches that focus on my urban surroundings. I see these power lines every day on my way downtown. They crisscross the alleys and empty lot near Nicollet and 18th.
