What I made last week: Ornaments!

So I got a little carried away and made a few of these ornaments for the holiday mart:

By a few, I think I mean 50. People better really need to decorate their christmas trees.

What I’m making this week: Aprons!

One of the objects I’m making for the upcoming Holiday Mart are aprons. Like this one:

Made of 100% cotton, each apron is fully reversible, with a fabric back. (In this case, it’s more of the plaid). I try to mix the fabric up a bit, so the choices are unexpected but still seem to work together, ya know? I drafted the pattern after studying some vintage aprons from my collection.

If I ever made anything for myself (instead of making things to sell or as gifts for friends and family) I would totally rock this apron while serving homemade pie. But that’s just me. What would you do with an apron?

They talked me into it

Announcing my first ever holiday sale! The second Sunday in November, I’ll be part of a HandMade HolidayMart. Hosted at a friend’s home in south Minneapolis, the afternoon will feature my handmade goods (coasters, aprons, ornaments, cards, maybe a few other surprises) plus potstickers for purchase from Gather Gourmet in Edina. Our host will provide light refreshments and appetizers. There will be plenty to browse through* and a festive holiday setting.

More details to follow!

*”plenty” is partially the reason for my lack of posts. I’ve been up to my ears in ornaments-in-progress and fabric scraps!
