The Minnesota State Fair is the place to be this week! I’m looking forward to next Wednesday, when I’ll join a group of friends to view the exhibits, share treats, and join in the craziness of the crowds.

For those you headed to the fair in St. Paul, be sure to check out the Fine Arts exhibit. It is a juried collection of works entered by Minnesota residents, ranging from jewelry, painting, and sculpture, to photography, textiles, and mixed media.

I have a new work accepted into the Fine Arts textiles/fibers department. It is a tall rectangular two-dimensional wall piece, made from acrylic-painted silks. The work is primarily blue and red, so it should be easy to spot!

I spent last week in Montana. While in Great Falls, I stopped by Gallery 16 to check out the latest artwork and say hey to the members. Here is some of my work displayed (and for sale) at the Gallery.

The ladies were very welcoming and it’s always nice to see what’s new there.

The weekend was warm and sunny, with great music and a happy crowd. I was thrilled to sell lots of barns and cards and enjoy sweet corn tamales from La Loma with my earnings.
